A parrots comfort zone is a 'sweet spot' between being content and being fearful. You can actually use this to your advantage if you know how to do it right.

Find something that your bird is afraid of, and make it your goal to help your bird overcome its fear of that object.

Make it a goal to train the bird over the next week or two to touch the object that he now fears, by using treats as a reward for walking toward the object, and eventually touching it.

Remember to go slowly, and reward even the smallest amounts of progress; even one step closer is deserving of praise and a reward.

And don't push your bird OUT of its Comfort Zone... work in that 'sweet spot' between being content and being fearful.

You will realise that you will see a higher amount of progress with your birds when you actively look for things that scare your bird and systematically 'desensitizing' your bird to those fears one by one.

Your bird will TRANSFORM into a bird that has a level of confidence and happiness you've never seen in your whole life.

If you would like to further learn these techniques, check out this Taming, Training & Tricks course that details how you can take a scared parrot and work in those fringes of a bird's comfort zone.

It teaches you that there is a sweet spot in your bird's mental state... a spot between being content, and being afraid, that is still in the bird's comfort zone.

And by targeting all of your training exercises to work in this 'Sweet Spot' you can achieve maximum success with your bird, and build confidence that wasn't there to begin with... all by building on positive experiences that DO NOT scare your bird, while in that 'Sweet Spot'.
